This EP represents what we have worked on for the last year. It was recorded by us, in our practice space, but we are proud of the production and the songs, and we really hope you like it!
You Here and Don't Think are the newest songs on the EP, and are the best representations of how our sound will be on our next releases. You Here is us being very short, fast, and loud, and Don't Think is a little more about the jam, with a spacey bridge and a midwest emo vibe.
Presences is a little different from what we usually do, with about 30% of the song being completely acoustic. It seems like a song that a pop-punk band would do to prove that they have depth, but for us, it seems like the odd man out on this EP.
Leave Me Alone is actually one of the oldest songs we have. Dan and Wes wrote it in 2010, and it finally made its way into our live set in 2012, albeit with many lyrical and stylistic changes. This is another song that doesn't very well fit in with the rest of our discography due to it being a straight rock song, but we like it anyway.
On The Run From The Mi5 and The Opera House are covers of bands that we highly enjoy. We had planned on the EP being longer, and also having a compilation of cover songs come out at the same time, but we decided to trim and consolidate it into one release. The original track listing for the two EPs may yet be realized, but we felt that this EP was indicative of our current sound.
